It can be frustrating working in smaller lines with sewer inspection cameras that have a limited field of view. You want results quickly and effectively, but the equipment also needs to be suitable for the ruggedness of the job. RIDGID’s SeeSnake Mini Pro Inspection Camera with TruSense technology answers the call.
The compact, rugged Mini Pro is designed to inspect up to 200 feet of 1 1/2- to 8-inch pipe with its mid-flex push cable that can navigate hard 90-degree bends. Its 25 mm digital self-leveling camera always keeps the in-pipe image upright and is shorter than the traditional 25 mm camera head.
“The SeeSnake Mini Pro with TruSense technology is the industry’s first reel to feature digital self-leveling, a breakthrough that eliminates mechanical wear components traditionally prone to failure,” says Kyle Schutz, RIDGID product manager. “This innovation ensures visuals are always upright without relying on moving parts, resulting in fewer breakdowns, less downtime, and longer tool life. Paired with RIDGID’s legacy of rugged durability, the Mini Pro delivers consistently clear inspections that help professionals save time and maximize ROI.”
TruSense establishes a two-way datalink between the camera head and a TruSense-enabled monitor. With TruSense, advanced sensors on the camera head convey information about the in-pipe environment, including the high-dynamic range image sensor that offers bright, clear in-pipe imaging in difficult lighting conditions. The TiltSense Inclinometer measures the camera’s angle and displays the degree of tilt on the monitor — giving professionals a useful indicator of the pitch of the camera in-pipe. Digital zoom and pan provide the ability to focus on a single point of interest for an understanding and view of what’s happening in-pipe.
“Its durability and compatibility with RIDGID monitors and legacy reels make it a versatile choice for inspection fleets of all sizes,” Schutz says. “Crews benefit from faster, more accurate inspections with fewer callbacks, making it the ideal fit for service providers who need to keep trucks in rotation and jobs moving quickly.”
According to Schutz, the Mini Pro was developed in response to two major industry challenges: inspection downtime and diagnostic accuracy. RIDGID engineers eliminated the mechanical components of traditional self-leveling systems, replacing them with a more reliable digital solution.
“The result is a tool that delivers smarter technology without sacrificing durability, making it a perfect fit for the drain cleaning industry’s need for rugged, dependable equipment,” he says.
