PPI announces new board of directors
The Plastics Pipe Institute announced its new board of directors, effective as of June 1. PPI is the major North American association representing the plastics pipe industry. The returning board members are Gary Morgan of Borealis, chair; Jim Johnston of McElroy Manufacturing, vice chair; Doug Keller of LyondellBasell, past chair; Kate Olinger of Uponor, treasurer; Dell Doyle of Dow Chemical Company, advisory council representative; and David Fink, PPI staff representative. Members of the board serve for two years and then move up to the next position.
REHAU and Equipco partner to serve western Canada
REHAU and manufacturers representative of Equipco announced an expanded partnership that fortifies support in the mechanical and plumbing market throughout western Canada. Equipco began representing REHAU polymer-based solutions for mechanical and plumbing systems in British Columbia, building upon their existing partnership in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Vacuum Truck Rentals converts fleet to Vacall units
Vacuum Truck Rentals, headquartered in Richland, Mississippi, has converted its entire fleet of vacuum and jetting rental units to Vacall brand AllJetVac, AllExcavate, AllJet and AllVac machines. Vacall machines are designed, manufactured, sold and supported by Gradall Industries in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Gradall is wholly owned by the Alamo Group.
Sioux Chief acquires Real-Tite Plugs
Kansas City, Missouri-based Sioux Chief announced the acquisition of Real-Tite Plugs. Family-owned Sioux Chief has been in business since 1957 and manufactures thousands of plumbing products in the U.S. Real-Tite Plugs, established in 1981, has been manufacturing U.S.-made expandable cleanout plugs that seal cleanouts with missing or damaged threads. They have a low-profile, flush face and are approved for permanent installation in PVC, ABS, or cast-iron cleanout tees. Effective immediately, contractor customers can place their orders for Real-Tite Plugs, along with specific Sioux Chief items, directly on the new Real-Tite Plugs E-Shop from Sioux Chief at www.real-titeplugs.com.
