Nozzle Storage Bar Added to JNW’s 4-Roller Hose Guide

Jetters Northwest has added a nozzle storage bar to its four-roller hose guide for handy nozzle access, and — based on customer feedback — JNW has redesigned the guide’s position closer to the reel to shrink the overall footprint of the jetter. Aaron from Jetters Northwest explains in this brief video. Visit jettersnorthwest.com for more information.
Video Root66 Demo Steve Landis

Demo: The Versatile Root 66 Drain Machine

Steve Landis of Gatti Plumbing shows you the many ways the Root 66 can help you clean a drain. The Root 66 is a real advancement in sectional cable machine design. No mid-range machine has its versatility and power. You can drive 5/8-inch cables for lines up to 3 inches and 7/8-inch cables for 4-inch lines — and you can switch from one to the other in seconds, without touching the jaws, without an adapter, without tools. And for sink drain work, slip on a drum that holds smaller cables. To operate, just feed a cable into the line and slide the back end into the machine. The excess cable goes into a guide tube. Turn on the sealed motor, press down on the handle, and the Root 66 starts spinning the cable at 400 rpm. The cable stops rotating as soon as you lift the handle, so there’s no additional torque buildup. When using a drum for small drain work, the drum stops turning when you lift the handle to the neutral position.

Video Brute Pressure Diff

Comparing Brute Jetters: 3012 vs. 4009 – Which is Best for Your Needs?

The popular Brute Jetters from Jetters Northwest offer two different flow/pressure options: 12 gpm/3,000 psi (3012) and 9 gpm/4,000 psi (4009). So how do you decide which one is right for your needs? Steve “Jonesie” Jones and Aaron Danneker break down the differences. The key point is to choose the jetter that best meets the majority of your needs; both sizes are great for the 4-inch lines but what other pipe sizes do you need to clear most often? For jetting 4-inch and larger lines the 3012 is a better choice because its higher gpm scours and flushes the larger lines better. But the 4009 is the better choice for jetting 4-inch and smaller lines because its higher psi improves cleaning power through the smaller jetting hoses used to clean smaller pipes. Aaron and Jonesie also discuss the hose size difference between the 3012 and the 4009 with regard to pressure loss through smaller vs. larger diameter jetting hose. Gen Ear Le Wwett24

A Better Method for Tracking Down Water Leaks

Dave Dunbar of General Pipe Cleaners talks about the benefits and use of the Gen-Ear LE water leak location system at the WWETT Show. Now a smaller investment gets you a better method for tracking down water leaks. The new Gen-Ear LE is a simplified, more economical water leak locator with stronger sound amplification than other systems. Use it to pinpoint leaks in residential and commercial water lines, whether they are under concrete slabs, in walls, swimming pools and more. The compact amplifier fits easily in the palm of your hand. It provides noise-free amplification with built-in preset audio filters, so you don’t have to guess what settings to use. And the high-performance headphones with noise cancellation features block out interference from surrounding ambient noise. The ground sensor listens for the gurgling or hammering of water escaping from a cracked pipe under concrete, asphalt or tile. For soft surfaces like grass or carpet, use the probe rods. Or, for above-ground pipes or hydrants, you can use both the probe rods or the magnet attachment. For especially hard to find leaks, the Sound Amplification Manifold (SAM) adds air to the line, increasing water pressure. This amplifies the leak sounds, making them easier to locate. The Gen-Ear LE will save you a lot of guesswork and unnecessary digging. And that saves you a lot of money.

In this video, Steve “Jonesie” Jones from Jetters Northwest quickly walks you through the full range of hose sizes available for doing a variety of jetting jobs. Jonesie explains which pipe sizes each hose size is best suited for, and what each hose’s “sweet spot” is for gpm (water flow rate) to avoid excessive pressure-drop to the nozzle. Hose sizes covered are 1/2, 3/8, 5/16, 1/4, 3/16, and 1/8 inch, with extra attention to (a) the versatile 5/16-inch hose size that is gaining popularity for many service jobs, and (b) the effectiveness of 3/16-inch hoses compared to restrictive 1/8-inch hoses.Visit shop.jettersnorthwest.com or call 877-901-1936 for more information.
