Steve “Jonesie” Jones walks you through hose size and how it relates to jetter flow, including debunking a common misconception about increasing flow.

Using 3/8-inch hose for 10 gpm or less keeps the pressure drop to about 1.5 psi per foot. Going up to 12 gpm, it’s better to use a 1/2-inch hose to keep the pressure drop also around 1 psi per foot.
