Pipe Bursting System Works Both Horizontally and Vertically

The RODDIE R8 30-ton pipe bursting system can burst pipes ¾, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 inches in size, and it now comes standard with lightweight cribbing. Different diameter cables can also be used.

All R8s slide apart into two components that are less than 75 pounds each and can be set up vertically or horizontally. The option to use the R8 vertically or horizontally is ideal for when unforeseen utilities are in the way. The pulling rate is 8 feet per minute when powered by most tractors.

Patented articulating bursting heads allow for easy entry and smooth bursting through 45-degree bends. The Hydra Control wireless remote can be hooked up to any hydraulic power source. See it work on YouTube by searching “RODDIE R8.”

RODDIE Inc. is an original equipment manufacturer based in northwest Montana. It specializes in the design and manufacture of industry-leading trenchless pipe bursting equipment and horizontal directional drills. RODDIE Inc. began as an underground contractor in San Jose, California. Originally called H&H Co., it developed the first static pipe bursting machine on a project for Siemens Corp. in the early 1990s. Over the years, this machine has evolved into what you see today. In 2011, the company opened its doors to the world as a manufacturer of trenchless equipment, continually developing other cutting-edge trade secret tools for the trenchless industry. Its goal is to help customers increase their profit margins as a contractor in the same way that their pipe bursting system and HDD drills have done for their contracting divisions in California and Montana.
