Just like scrubbing the grime off your hands or dishes, using hot water makes all the difference in cleaning the greasy crud that builds up in a sewer system. That’s why jetters that heat the water they use have a firm place in the market. For some jobs, they simply work better.
The BossJet Max Hot Water line of trailer-mounted jetters from Amazing Machinery are specially engineered for these types of jobs. This jetter is specifically suited for bigger jobs or larger pipes up to 12 inches and has a large 500-gallon water supply tank.
“Hot-water jetting has gained recognition for its efficiency and comprehensive capabilities in removing sludge, grease, oil and ice,” says Justin King, Amazing Machinery’s vice president of sales and marketing. “The BossJet Max is an optimal choice for plumbing contractors or small- to medium-sized municipalities needing to thaw, clear blockages or clean pipes with diameters ranging from 3 to 12 inches.”
The jetters produce up to 4,000 psi and up to 22 gpm and have 400 feet of 1/2-inch hose. The rear-mounted super duty 12-volt electric jetter hose reel and rear-stack manual reels (washdown and garden hose) provide all the space needed for the hose. Units include two six-piece nozzle kits to cover most applications. Despite the power provided, King says the BossJet units operate surprisingly efficiently.
“The BossJet Max features two gas engines, rather than a single larger diesel engine, while delivering comparable power output,” King says. “This twin-engine design lowers equipment costs compared to the single diesel engine option and provides operators with the flexibility to run on just one engine, resulting in fuel savings.”
According to King, these units are meticulously engineered for optimal ease of operation and durability. They include top-tier engines, pumps and hose reels, including Honda and Kohler engines, pumps from General, Cat and AR, and Hannay hose reels, to ensure superior performance. The BossJet Max trailer features an all-tubular steel frame with a full diamond plate steel floor. The frame is fully powder-coated to provide a long-lasting, high-quality finish. Despite the high-end components, the units are being marketed for their affordability.
“Price and simplicity is really what make these units unique,” King says. “Keeping things simple makes BossJet jetters easier and faster to operate and maintain.”
