The 2015 Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show has gone through quite a few changes since it hit the septic pumping and drain cleaning scene 35 years ago. This year we have a new name and a new website, but we will continue to bring you the best show in the industry. The new name provides a more fitting snapshot of what the show has become — with your help — and where it’s heading in the years to come.

“It’s a show for an entire industry of hard-working people who maintain our sewer and water infrastructure, properly treat and dispose of wastewater, keep water safe, and our environment healthy,” says Bob Kendall, COLE Publishing founder. “We’re not just a show for pumpers and cleaners — we’ve grown and evolved into so much more, and so have you.”

This year’s show at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis runs Feb. 23-26, and it guarantees to “wow” you, but let’s take a look at how far the show has come.

Bust out your Miami Vice sport coat and parachute pants, pull back your mullet and take a stroll down the trade show memory lane with me.

The show has grown from just over a few hundred attendees in 1981 to more than 9,000 expected for the 2015 show. And the exhibit space was a mere 29,400 square feet compared to 564,000 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis where the show now resides. Get your walking shoes ready! It gives a whole new meaning to “I will walk 500 miles,” doesn’t it?

The first trade show hit the Opryland in Nashville, Tenn., and included three days of exhibits and just four educational seminars.

The 2015 show will be a full-out educational extravaganza compared to that! More than 100 seminars will span four days, with the first day of the show dedicated exclusively to education.

There were just over 40 exhibitors at our earliest show. Compare that to the 520-plus we expect in 2015! We also spent a few years trying out venues in Biloxi, Miss., Fort Worth, Texas, and Louisville, Ky.

But we’re happy — and we hope you are too! — to be settled into our latest home in Indy for the next few years. The convenient downtown venue connects you and the opportunities to grow in your business and in the industry.

New this year, one lucky attendee will win this tricked-out 2014 Chevy pickup with a one-of-a-kind WWETT vinyl wrap.

Register to attend the 2015 WWETT Show and you'll automatically be entered to win the Chevy 4x4.

Whether you’re an expo lifer or you’re just finding your WWETT groove at this year’s show, we want to say “thanks” for sticking with us and helping us create the best show in the industry.
