As the trenchless technology industry moves into the final quarter of 2026, opportunities for education, networking and professional development continue to emerge across North America.
The months ahead will bring a variety of events and initiatives designed to support contractors, engineers, municipal leaders, consultants, manufacturers and utility professionals as they work to address growing infrastructure challenges through trenchless solutions.
Among the most anticipated events of the year is the 2026 NASTT No-Dig North conference, taking place Nov. 2-4 in Calgary, Alberta. As Canada’s premier trenchless technology conference, No-Dig North will bring together industry professionals from across North America for three days of technical education, networking and innovation. The conference program will feature real-world case studies, emerging technologies and practical solutions focused on today’s underground infrastructure needs.
Beyond the educational sessions, No-Dig North provides attendees with opportunities to explore the latest products and services in the exhibit hall, exchange ideas with peers and strengthen the professional relationships that help drive successful projects. Calgary’s expanding infrastructure market and strategic location make it a fitting host city for this year’s event.
At the regional level, NASTT’s chapters continue to play an important role in advancing trenchless education and fostering professional engagement throughout the year. This fall, regional chapters across North America will host conferences, technical seminars, golf tournaments and networking events tailored to local markets and infrastructure priorities.
These programs offer industry professionals convenient opportunities to stay informed about evolving technologies, best practices and project successes while building connections within their local trenchless communities. They also serve as an important gateway for organizations and individuals seeking greater involvement in the industry. The ongoing efforts of regional chapter volunteers remain essential to expanding access to trenchless education and supporting NASTT’s broader mission.
While attention turns to the fall event season, planning is already well underway for the 2027 NASTT No-Dig Show, scheduled for March 21-25 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Recognized as the largest trenchless technology conference in the world, the No-Dig Show attracts thousands of professionals each year for an extensive program of technical education, exhibits and networking opportunities.
A key component of the event is NASTT’s Municipal & Public Utility Scholarship Program. Designed to support public sector participation, the program provides complimentary conference registration and hotel accommodations to qualified municipal and public utility employees. The goal is to ensure that those responsible for maintaining and improving underground infrastructure have access to the latest trenchless technologies, project case studies and industry best practices.
Over the years, the scholarship program has enabled hundreds of municipal professionals to attend the No-Dig Show, creating opportunities for knowledge sharing, collaboration and professional development that ultimately benefit the communities they serve. As the industry continues to face aging infrastructure and increasing demands for sustainable solutions, programs such as these help connect public sector decision-makers with the resources and expertise needed to meet those challenges.
The application deadline for the Raleigh Municipal & Public Utility Scholarship Program is approaching in November, and eligible applicants are encouraged to begin preparing their submissions. Additional information and application materials are available through NASTT.
As infrastructure demands continue to grow across North America, the importance of education, innovation and industry collaboration remains clear. Events such as No-Dig North, regional chapter programs and the No-Dig Show provide valuable platforms for sharing knowledge, showcasing new technologies and strengthening the professional networks that support the continued advancement of trenchless technology.
