In this video from the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show, we chat with Bryce Rieger of Vac-Con about the X-Cavator CXT hydroexcavation truck and its upgraded boom which allows for below-grade digging.

“We’ve taken our extendable boom from our EXT model and mounted it on our most popular mid-sized model — this 12-cubic-yard CXT. So what this gives you is 7 feet of extension with 315 degrees of rotation. And then, as you can see, the boom pivots down 22 degrees and will go up as much as 45 degrees. So that gives you an optimal work area around the truck, high and low.”

Rieger also talks about how the CXT can dig below grade without having to attach another piece of vacuum pipe.
