Behle Inc. is a company that is bound to grow further for good reason: It already has been growing even though historically the company has spent little time or money marketing itself.
Behle Inc., based in Ames, Iowa, is looking to start changing that. The company origins date to 1997, but only in the last year did Behle Inc. create a marketing and sales manager position. A first task is to raise the profile of the company as a community supporter.

“In the last five years, we have realized we need to be more present in Ames,” says Thomas Behle, manager of the company’s pipe lining division. “We want to become a bigger part of local school and community events.”
One of the community organizations Behle Inc. will be targeting in its campaign is the college town’s school: Iowa State University.
“I’m a big Iowa State fan,” Behle says.
The other marketing goal, of course, is to further establish Behle Inc. in the marketplace as a premier plumbing services company. A survey undertaken in the last six months to create a baseline for future marketing campaigns was gratifying, according to Behle.
“The people who were reached never had one bad thing to say about us,” he says. “We are a very reputable company and perform quality work.”
Even companies of integrity offering quality work have to keep their names out there, however. Behle Inc. is now working to do so.
