We are in an industry that is recession proof.

I tell people in my industry that every day, and it's true because we do something that the majority of people don't want to do, don't want to see and don't want to touch. That's one of the primary reasons we're recession proof.

Another reason is that we're highly skilled and know how to use machines that the average person does not know how to use. Many of us have put years into learning our profession. To stay recession proof I have this message for all my colleagues out there: If you want to be the best, you have to invest. You have to be growing. You should always be interested in what's going on in the industry.

Here are three things to keep in mind for the rest of 2023:

  • Immerse yourself and learn about new equipment.
  • Consider making plans to attend the 2024 WWETT Show in Indianapolis. Remember it has new dates for 2024 and will occur in January instead of February.
  • Last but not least, take care of yourself and wear the right equipment so that you and your team stay safe.
