Oftentimes when a valuable goes down the drain, the expectation is that you’ll never see it again. At best, you know that the time frame for a successful retrieval is short.
So what happened to Sarah Wolff on July 13 was certainly a surprise to put it mildly. Wolff was reunited with her lost wedding ring — more than a year after it went down a bathtub drain.
A public works employee with the city of Big Lake, Minnesota, recently discovered the ring during routine sewer cleaning. It was passing by an open manhole.
