Quam Construction, based in Willmar, Minnesota, has joined LMK Technologies’ network of independent licensed contractors for the T-Liner Main-to-Lateral Connection Lining System. As part of its underground utilities division that services municipal, commercial and residential areas, Quam has announced plans to become licensed in LMK’s Performance Liner Sectional Spot Repair, cured-in-place manhole rehabilitation, and VAC-A-TEE Cleanout systems.

Researcher receives ADS achievement award
Rafael Munoz-Carpena of the University of Florida-Gainesville received the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) 2015 Advanced Drainage Systems Soil and Water Engineering Award. The ADS-sponsored award recognizes Munoz-Carpena for his research, methodology and educational contributions in the development and advancement of integrated hydrologic and water quality modeling.

Grundfos holds annual Walk for Water event
About 175 Grundfos Pumps employees joined family, friends and corporate partners for their annual Walk for Water event held in Kansas City, Missouri, and Aurora, Illinois. The initiative was designed to raise awareness about the global water crises and to raise funds for safe, sustainable water solutions in developing countries. Grundfos first held the event in 2012, and to date has raised more than $200,000 for Water Missions International.

Cloverleaf Tool Co. purchases Jetter Parts Depot
Cloverleaf Tool Co., which is based in Sarasota, Florida, and manufactures and distributes pipeline and sewer cleaning and maintenance equipment for jetters and jet/vacs, has purchased Jetter Parts Depot of Orlando, Florida.

RapidView names new training and installation expert
RapidView IBAK North America has announced the appointment of Richie Notz as the company’s new training and installation expert. Notz, who has years of experience in pipeline inspection and training, was previously a field supervisor for a pipeline inspection company.

McElroy adds new distributor in Louisiana
McElroy Manufacturing has announced the addition of a new distributor, Industrial Municipal Supply Co. of Geismar, Louisiana, to service pipe fusion machine customers throughout the state.  IMSCO has 40 years of experience in custom fusion service, on-site fabrication and maintenance on McElroy machines in addition to being a supplier of HDPE pipe, valves and fittings.

Vanair announces expansion
Vanair Manufacturing announced the acquisition of an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Michigan City, Indiana, to accommodate increased growth and future expansion. The acquisition brings the company’s total production and office space to over 160,000 square feet. The new space will provide capacity for increased manufacturing, training, support, service and leadership functions across the company.
