AllJetVac Combo Sewer Cleaner With Recycler Saves Time, Money and Water

The innovative Recycler water recycling system, an option for Vacall AllJetVac combination sewer cleaners, is designed to conserve water and allow operators to work all day without the need to stop and refill the water tanks. Developed by Gradall Industries, manufacturer of Vacall vacuum and jetting products, the Recycler continuous water recycling system uses a series of filters, screens and centrifugal motions to remove matter of different sizes from water collected in the debris tank before returning it to the water tanks.

“The Recycler system can be a huge resource and timesaver for municipalities and contractors who have crews out performing emergency or routine sewer cleaning work,” says Bill Petrole, Gradall Industries’ vice president of Vacall products. “Instead of having to stop work to refill water tanks several times a day, our Recycler system filters the water vacuumed during jetting operations and puts it back to work. There’s virtually no downtime for maintenance because the system is self-cleaning, it requires no backflushing, and there are no filter changes. In addition, the Recycler can save up to 5.7 million gallons of water every year.”

The multistage recycling process starts with an initial sediment separation, followed by a floating V-Filtration screening process, further separating water from debris. The V-Filtration also has a backflush self-cleaning capability.

Centrifugal high-speed action then removes remaining solids, including tiny particles down to 100 microns. Solids and fine particles are returned to the debris tank via a pressure-regulating valve system. Recouped jetted water, up to 65% from a sewer line, is returned to the water tanks for reuse. A segregated, 240-gallon-capacity clean-water washdown feature is also part of the system.

The Recycler is another component of the Vacall “Green That Works” package of advantages, including a standard AllSmartFlow CANbus intelligent control system, conserving water and maximizing operating efficiency.

AllJetVac models use just one engine instead of two for chassis mobility and to generate vacuum and jetting power — a concept that saves on fuel consumption, routine service, harmful emissions and the purchase price of the unit.

The rugged, oval-shaped Vacall debris body features an innovative tailgate design that opens, closes and locks easily, with an optional flushing system that cleans out the interior of the body. Water tanks are fabricated from high-quality aluminum and mounted high to avoid road debris damage. Galvanized debris bodies and aluminum water tanks are available with lifetime warranties, expanding the machine’s working life and further contributing to the Green That Works package.

Using a positive displacement system, AllJetVac machines deliver excellent jetting action and superior vacuum power to open clogged sewer lines and perform necessary routine maintenance.

To customize the models for specific applications and preferences, contractors and municipalities can choose decant valves, cold-water recirculation system, backup hose reel hydraulics, and multiple blower and water pump choices including an 87 gpm, 2,000 psi water pump with 30-minute run-dry guarantee. Debris tank capacities are offered in 6, 8, 10 and 12 cubic yards. Water tank capacities include 1,000, 1,200 and 1,500 gallons.

All Vacall models are designed, built and supported by Gradall Industries Inc. to ISO 9001 standards, with a worldwide reputation for exceptional machine versatility, performance and hydraulic functionality. Gradall Industries Inc. is wholly owned by the Alamo Group.
