More great progress is being made daily for the 2014 Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo. Make sure you don’t miss out on education opportunities, networking and entertainment.

The Expo runs from Monday, Feb. 24 to Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind. Preregistration is $50 until Jan. 24. After Jan. 24 the rate is $70 for full registration.

According to Expo staff members, registration is currently up 20 percent in company attendance compared to this time last year.

“The exhibit floor is nearly sold out, as we are utilizing nearly all of the 564,000 square feet of contiguous space at the facility,” says Trade Show Coordinator Brad Bisnette. “New exhibitors are still being added daily until we can’t fit anymore. The Expo is on record pace for the amount of equipment that will be on display.”

While trade show staff members have been making improvements to this year’s show, Indy is also making enhancements to ensure you enjoy your stay.

“The City of Indianapolis continues its own improvements to several downtown hotels including room renovations at The Westin, Hyatt Regency and Crowne Plaza,” Bisnette says.

New this year, the Expo Daily News and Expo Program will be combined into one piece — the Expo Daily Program. “The message will be refreshed each day, giving attendees a single piece of literature with all necessary Expo information,” Bisnette says.

The new program will include a daily schedule, general information and exhibitor listings. Exhibiting companies have the opportunity to announce show specials, new product introductions, demonstration schedules and other exciting events.

Two new concession areas will help accommodate all the foot traffic. One area will be in the Capitol Ave. lobby for Education Day attendees, as well as the rest of the week, and one area will be on the exhibit floor in Hall A.

“Both concession areas will help attendees get served as quickly as possible so they can get back to business,” Bisnette says. “They also both provide additional seating areas for meeting up and networking with other attendees and exhibitors.”

There are more than 200 restaurants, bars and nightclubs within walking distance of the of the Indiana Convention Center and downtown hotels so you’ll have plenty of options for continued fun in Indy when the exhibit hall doors close at the end of each day.

The JW Marriot — this year’s host hotel — is already sold out during two nights of the Expo. Other hotels will fill up shortly, so make your reservations early. Book through our Passkey system to get the lowest contracted rates!

Country music star Lee Brice, this year’s entertainer, received Song of the Year for “I Drive Your Truck” at the 2013 CMA Awards and Single of the Year for the same song at the American Country Awards. Be sure to check him out after the Industry Appreciation Party on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m., in the JW Marriott ballroom.

Also new this year, we will have a “live” studio set up in the editors’ booth (#4028) at the show for attendee video interviews. These will be relaxed, 3-minute interviews so no need to stress if you’re camera shy. We’ll give you a heads up about the questions we’ll ask and ensure you’re comfortable before we hit record. And for those of you who love the camera — we know you’re out there — now is your time to shine.

We’d like to schedule up to six 3-minute interviews each day of the Expo. If you’re interested in being interviewed about industry issues that are important to you, email editor@cleaner.com to save a spot today.

You will receive a free T-shirt (shown at left) and the video will be posted to Cleaner.com throughout the year. Once we post the videos, you can embed them on your own company websites.

Are you a 3-minute drain cleaner? Come find out at the editors’ booth.
