RIDGID’s line of FlexShaft drain cleaning machines are highlighted in this video from the 2022 WWETT Show.

The product line includes three different models to choose from depending on the pipe size you are working in — 1 1/4-inch up to 6 inches. A key feature of the machines is the durable nylon sheath that encloses the cable.

“There’s less splatter. You don’t have to set up the environment like you might have to with a drum or sectional machine. So it allows you to get in and out of a job site that much quicker,” says Jeff Albertini, director of marketing of underground technologies at RIDGID.

Rob Brocollo of Professional Drain Services of Southern New England also does a brief demonstration of a FlexShaft machine in the video. He likes how it allows for an inspection camera to be run through a drainline simultaneously.

“You can have that camera trailing right behind, making sure you’re getting that wall to wall clean,” Brocollo says.
