In this segment of Get Jetting with Jonesie, Steve Jones discusses three types of small jetting hoses that use 1/8-inch nozzles, and their best applications.

Jonesie explains the differences between 1/8-inch jetting hose and 3/16-inch trap jetting hoses. Trap jetting hoses have the same outside diameter as a 1/8-inch hose, but they’re 50% bigger on the inside to significantly reduce pressure-loss to the nozzle. Trap hoses have steel braid inside that can hold pressure in with fewer braids than a typical poly hose, which allows for their larger inside diameter. Another advantage, besides the ability to pass more flow, is it can almost be tied in a knot before it kinks.
