New to the market in 2020, the ROVVER X SAT II lateral launch crawler was redesigned to boost capability and maximize productivity by launching farther and faster. The SAT II can travel 984 feet up mainlines at speeds as fast as 98 feet per minute and then launch 147 feet into laterals at up to 23 feet per minute.
The versatile crawler adapts easily to mainlines 6 inches to 80 inches in diameter, with tool-less quick-change wheels and the option to use off-the-shelf PVC tubes cut to length for the launch chute. A unique hinged crawler body with steerable eight-wheel drive means the SAT II can maneuver past obstacles and through narrow accesses. The system comes with three onboard cameras, including:
- A launch camera with 360-degree pan articulation and +150/-30-degree tilt
- A five megapixel aiming camera that offers digital pan/tilt/zoom capability for pinpoint launching in any size line
- A rear-facing camera to help manage cable during reverse crawl
