Kurt Ihn remembers that IHN Company was among the first in the Milwaukee area and Waukesha County to bring no‑dig, in‑house sewer rehabilitation to market and to start promoting it to people. Today, it’s the company’s most profitable service branch.

Over the years, the company has kept pace with the continued development of trenchless technology offerings, acquiring new tools and taking advantage of manufacturer training opportunities to provide customers the best solutions for their sewer problems. So it tracks that when Waterline Renewal Technologies was preparing to host the inaugural Lining Olympics at this year’s WWETT Show in Indianapolis, it asked a reliable service provider — and user of its products — like IHN Company to participate.

An IHN Company crew took on teams from two other companies from California and Texas. In its booth, Waterline Renewal Technologies had mock pipe setups and the teams competed to see who could best complete the repair of two “leaks” on a pipe using UV CIPP technology. Three judges assessed the teams based on on speed, accuracy and teamwork, awarding point scores.

The IHN Company team showcased its lining skills, advancing out of the first round but settling for the silver after losing to the Texas team 31-27 in the final following deliberation from the judges.
