The WWETT Show, originally slated for May at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, has been rescheduled for June 29 to July 2, 2021, with a virtual event, WWETT+, planned for Feb. 23-25.

“We understand how important the sense of community and gathering is to this industry, and we wanted to do our part to ensure a productive and relaxed environment for all those in attendance,” says Sue Pino, sales director for the WWETT Show. “So much goes into preparing for an event, so we wanted to provide our exhibitors, speakers, attendees and industry partners ample notice of our plans for the 2021 show.”

In addition to introducing a virtual event in 2021, the WWETT Show team is also welcoming Kristen McKercher as the event’s new director. McKercher joins the WWETT Show with over 15 years of experience in the business-to-business events arena, having successfully led multiple brands within the Infrastructure & Construction portfolio throughout her tenure with WWETT parent company, Informa Markets.

“I am thrilled to take on this new role during such a transformative period for the industry, and we are collectively thrilled to connect wastewater professionals through multiple channels,” says McKercher. “WWETT+ will allow us to deliver on the industry’s immediate needs in a meaningful way until we connect in-person in June.”

Launched in March 2020 in response to initial concerns surrounding COVID-19, WWETT+ provided government resources, industry specific information and, through partnership with WasteWater Education 501c3, on-demand classes. Under McKercher’s leadership, WWETT+ is expanding to include a product showcase, including the latest equipment and technology for the wastewater industry, technical workshops, and a full education line-up. The technology behind the WWETT+ event enables face-to-face meetings online between wastewater and environmental professionals, equipment manufacturers, and product representatives. Held over the original dates of the show, WWETT+ will give wastewater professionals the opportunity to connect and preview products while enjoying creative, immersive online experiences.

In June 2021, the WWETT Show will return to the show floor in the Indiana Convention Center, offering buyers the opportunity to be face-to-face with business associates and industry friends. The WWETT Show will also adapt Informa AllSecure for the in-person event, which is Informa’s approach to ensuring the highest standards of safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and quality for operating events. In addition to AllSecure, the show will follow all local government guidelines, as well as the Indiana Convention Center guidelines.

Registration for WWETT+, the virtual event, opens in January. Registration for the WWETT Show’s annual in-person event will open in Spring of 2021. For more information, visit www.wwettshow.com. Manufacturers interested in participating in either event may contact Sue Pino at sue.pino@informa.com.
