Now in its third decade of being in business, PrimeLine Products continues to grow. The Florida-based company recently moved into a larger facility — doubling in size — that includes space for providing in-house training.

PrimeLine plans on offering open house demos and training to educate people about the growing pipeline rehabilitation industry. The company will be hosting its first training class for Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program, Manhole Assessment and Certification Program and Lateral Assessment and Certification Program on Nov. 12-14. Another training class will be held in February.

PrimeLine Products was first incorporated in the state of Florida in 1998, starting in a small warehouse in Edgewater. PrimeLine’s main source of revenue was generated by selling silicate-based resins imported from Hungary. These resins were used mainly for the rehabilitation of underground pipelines and manholes.

Bob Rothenberg joined PrimeLine in 2001 and shortly thereafter bought the entire stock in the company and moved operations to Altamonte Springs. Rothenberg decided to expand PrimeLine’s product line to include lining equipment and materials, sectional lining materials and equipment, manhole rehabilitation products, chemical grouts, pipe cleaning equipment, and pipeline plugs. Rothenberg had over 50 years of experience in the pipeline rehabilitation industry and was past president of NASSCO from 1993 to 1995. He had previously worked for Penetryn Systems, a nationwide pipeline investigation and rehabilitation company. Penetryn’s sister corporation was CUES, the company that pioneered CCTV inspection cameras. In 2016, Rothenberg retired, but he still remains involved with the company and serves on the board of directors.

Rothenberg's son Andy joined the business in 2007. Andy came to PrimeLine with 15 years of experience in the service industry and was always interested in his father’s work. He decided to join PrimeLine after attending the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show and getting a little persuasion from his dad. Under Andy’s leadership, PrimeLine tripled its revenue. Due to the increase in sales volume, PrimeLine moved to a larger building in 2012, which had more office space and a much larger warehouse. Today, Andy is the president of PrimeLine and is currently on the board of directors of NASSCO. He has also been the chairperson for the RehabZone at the Underground Construction Technology Show for the past three years and is serving as the co-chair this year.

Andy’s son Mason joined PrimeLine in 2016. He has followed in his father’s footsteps, adopting the same ethics and loyalty mission his grandfather and father instilled in the company. Mason is responsible for sales and training. After three years with the company, he has become a key figure.

In addition to Andy and Mason, there are three other staff members. Paul Harris is sales manager as well as municipal sales rep. Nate Norris is a sales rep/field trainer. Jacob Highsmith is the warehouse manager.

In 2018, Andy opened PrimeLiner LLC. PrimeLiner will manufacture lining equipment as well as other products for PrimeLine’s product line. These products and services are provided throughout the U.S. and abroad. PrimeLine Products prides itself on providing 24/7 technical support and services to its customers.
