Plumbers and drain cleaners looking to expand their business or get a leg up on the competition will want to explore the latest products and technology at the 2016 Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show Feb. 17-20 in downtown Indianapolis.

Covering 564,000 square feet of the Indiana Convention Center, WWETT attracted nearly 14,000 visitors from 53 countries in 2015, with 86 percent saying new products and technologies are the main reason they attend and keep coming back.

Here’s a look at some of the products that will be on display:

Push Cameras

Amazing Machinery 

The Viztrac Max push camera from Amazing Machinery has a 22 percent larger 9-inch LCD color display than previous Viztrac cameras, and rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack capable of up to eight hours of field use. The inspection system includes an AC/DC adapter for direct power supply, 512 Hz sonde transmitter, and DVR recorder that records to a standard SD card. CPI Products 

The Universal Roller Skid (URS) from CPI Products is designed to increase the effectiveness and life span of portable video inspection systems. The device’s ability to contract and expand for use in 6- to 18-inch pipelines enables portable video inspection systems to be used in applications that previously required tractor systems. The skid enables inspection cameras to negotiate multiple corners and bends and increase depth range. Electric Eel 

The Ecam PRO 2 camera system from Electric Eel is designed for 3- to 10-inch pipelines. The stainless-steel-housed inspection system features a 1.68-inch-diameter self-leveling color camera with flexible camera spring to help navigate 3-inch P-traps. An auto iris automatically adjusts lighting. The inspection system has a 512 Hz sonde, 10.4-inch daylight-readable display with on-screen footage counter and 16 pages of text writing with memory save and one-touch recording. Data can be recorded to a USB flash drive. Hathorn Corporation

The Wi-Fi lateral inspection camera system from Hathorn Corporation comes with 200 feet of pushrod attached to a 1.4-inch self-leveling camera head, 512 Hz sonde transmitter and rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. Medit 

The Gecko 9020 pan-and-tilt push camera from Medit has a 3-inch, wide-angle CCD camera that is waterproof to 50 feet. The pan-and-tilt function has 360-degree rotation, 240-degree tilt and auto settings. The system features an 8.4-inch color monitor with video capture, on-screen foot counter, built-in sonde and rechargeable battery. The flexible probe is 197 feet long and can bend 90 degrees in 4-inch pipes. MTech 

The CUES Mark 3 portable control system, distributed by MTech, is designed for all CUES mainline cameras, transporters and condition assessment software. Ratech Electronics 

The Pan n’ Tilt Push Camera from Ratech Electronics can be used in pipes and drains as small as 4 inches in diameter. Originally used as a mainline camera, it has been redesigned to fit into small laterals. It can be retrofitted to existing Ratech systems or used as a stand-alone unit. RIDGID 

The SeeSnake CS65 digital reporting monitor from RIDGID automatically generates multimedia reports for every inspection. It has a 6 1/2-inch daylight-readable display, integrated water-resistant keyboard, and one-touch image and video recording to one or two USB drives and the built-in 1TB hard drive. The internal hard drive can store 1,000 hours of standard video, 10,000 hours of high-compression video or over 100,000 photos. Spartan Tool 

The SparVision 200 sewer camera from Spartan Tool uses tablet technology for flexibility on and off the job site. It can be used with the Apple iPad, iPhone and Samsung Galaxy. Vivax-Metrotech 

The vCamMX all-in-one inspection camera from Vivax-Metrotech has an 8-inch daylight-viewable LCD screen, two-frequency locatable sonde, locatable pushrod, internal microphone, distance counter and six-hour rechargeable battery. The AC/DC powered system is available with a 1-inch D26 self-leveling or a 3/4-inch D18 field changeable camera. Wohler USA

The VIS 350 visual inspection system from Wohler USA can be used to inspect waterlines 2 inches and larger. It features a pan-and-tilt camera and integrated transmitter for use with an L200 locator. CUES 

The high-resolution, side-scanning Digital Universal Camera (DUC) from CUES is designed for rapid and detailed condition assessment of wastewater systems. The inspection system produces a high-resolution digital video scan of internal pipe conditions in 6- to 60-inch pipe and a flat, unfolded view of the pipe for quick assessment and measurement. Envirosight 

A new design allows wheels on the ROVVER X pipe inspection crawler from Envirosight to be changed without bolts, washers or tools; wheels are pressed onto a locking hub and released by pressing the center of the hub. Ten wheel options are available: rubber in four sizes, abrasive in three sizes, and carbide in three sizes. Forbest Products 

The FB-RC80DF four-wheel-drive robotic crawler from Forbest Products is designed to inspect pipes from 3 1/8 to 19 5/8 inches in diameter. Made of brass and aluminum, it features three tire sizes (1 1/2, 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 inches). The crawler with meter counter can move forward or backward at about 42 feet per minute. Insight Vision Cameras 

The second-generation IRIS Pan & Tilt mainline crawler from Insight Vision Cameras operates on Windows 7 Professional. It uses Windows apps for recording, text writing, snapshot and file transfer. A pendant controls the pan-and-tilt and light brightness features on the crawler camera. It can be used to inspect 6- to 12-inch lines and up to 18-inch lines with a larger wheel set sold separately. The PANORAMO SI manhole camera system from RapidView IBAK North America has two high-resolution digital cameras that capture a 360-degree view, enabling technicians to look at the entire manhole surface on one screen and measure features in three-dimensional space. Rausch USA 

The KS135 Scan laser profiler from Rausch USA meets the ASTM Standard for laser pipe profiling for measuring deflection and deviation in round pipes with diameters from 6 to 48 inches. It has plug-and-play functionality that does not require field calibration.
