The Gen-Ear LE from General Pipe Cleaners is a simplified, more economical water leak locator with stronger sound amplification than other systems. Use the Gen-Ear LE to pinpoint water leaks in residential and commercial waterlines, whether they are under concrete slabs, in walls, swimming pools, and hot tubs.

The compact amplifier fits easily in the palm of your hand. It provides noise-free amplification with built-in preset audio filters, so you don’t have to guess what settings to use, and the high-performance headphones with noise-cancellation features block out interference from surrounding ambient noise.

The advanced acoustic ground sensor listens for the gurgling or hammering of water escaping from a cracked pipe under concrete, asphalt or tile. For soft surfaces like grass or carpet, use the probe rods. For above-ground pipes or hydrants, use the magnetic attachment.

A safety button in the amplifier mutes sudden loud noises when the button is released. Two AA batteries power Gen-Ear LE for 20 or more hours. To extend battery life, the system automatically shuts down when headphones are removed, and the power light blinks to indicate when batteries are low.

For especially hard to find leaks, the Sound Amplification Module (SAM) adds air to the line, increasing the water pressure, thus amplifying the leak sounds making them easier to locate.
