Soon after starting work at National Power Rodding Corp. (now part of Carylon Corporation) in 1960, I developed the first TV camera to inspect sewers. Until that time, the industry’s only way of visual sewer inspection was to take 35 mm photos, endure the lengthy process of getting them developed, and view the pictures which provided only a dim, inadequate view of the inside of the sewer.
