The auger features a Briggs & Stratton 190 cc, 4.5 hp gasoline engine with a drilling torque of 154 ft-lbs. The Gen 2 Comfort-Flex operator handle absorbs torque-related kickback and vibrations, reducing physical stress and operator fatigue. An oil-cooled transmission includes a centrifugal all-metal clutch and machine-cut spur gears with a 1-inch output shaft. Augers are available in diameters ranging from 2 1/4 to 12 inches for digging up to 30 inches deep.
