The May issue of Cleaner is out, featuring RDZ Plumbing & Drains of San Diego. Owner Salvador Rodriguez started learning the plumbing trade at a young age, first accompanying his father and an uncle on jobs starting around age 13. He ended up managing a small chain of grocery stores in San Diego but eventually found his way back to the trade as his father contemplated retirement. Now with the help of his two sisters, he’s working on growing his own venture with RDZ Plumbing & Drains. “I like to be part of something that helps other people,” Rodriguez says. “I know we charge people for what we do. But when you see clients in stressful situations, it feels good knowing you have the knowledge to get things back in order so they’re happy again.”
