The 2018 Major League Baseball season kicks off today, and in Los Angeles the Dodgers are hosting the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers will of course want their season to start off better than the way spring training ended for the team on Tuesday.
The spring training finale between the Dodgers and the Angels was cut short in the fifth inning because of a backup that caused wastewater to spill onto the field around the third-base area.
“I thought it was Gatorade or something coming from the stands,” Dodgers outfielder Andrew Toles told the Associated Press.
