Confined-space entry work can be dangerous — and even deadly. Whether your workers clean tanks and pipes or plunge into manholes to clean walls and complete lining rehabilitation work, safety is critical.

Without confined-space entry safety procedures or safety harnessing, it’s easy to see how fatal accidents could occur.

Every time crew members go into a manhole, it should be treated as confined-space work.

Always be sure to follow OSHA confined-space entry specifications.

Take a safety cue from the drain cleaners in these photos who demonstrate proper preparation and completion of confined-space entries.
