DuraBlast double-coated PVC-on-polyester safety suits from Milwaukee Rubber Products are engineered specially for hydroblasting and hydroexcavation applications. They have high tear strength as the result of an open weave polyester scrim fabric sandwiched between two layers of flame-resistant PVC coating. Therm-O-Rad sealed seam construction offers chemical splash protection. A thick outside coating offers abrasion resistance, while a lighter interior coating protects the fabric from chemical contamination. The material is flame resistant and self-extinguishing with flameout and afterglow less than two seconds after removal of the ignition source.
