GATOR Series single-point-entry cutting and grinding robotics from RapidView IBAK North America are capable of preparing pipelines for rehabilitation or reinstating laterals after lining operations. High-powered electric tools (up to 3.3 hp) are deployed from rugged platforms that can center themselves in pipelines up to 24 inches in diameter. High-quality, onboard cameras monitor the work site, and the optional four-axis cutting armature provides access anywhere in the pipeline to cut or grind. While pneumatically locked in the pipeline, they are capable of cutting or grinding in a full 360-degree rotation, allowing the operator to resurface offset joints with ease. They work as an addition to existing RapidView IBAK systems or can be installed as a stand-alone unit. They are available as flexible push-propelled units for 4- to 8-inch pipes and larger self-propelled robots for 8- to 36-inch diameters. 800/656-4225; www.rapidview.com.
