Mr. Rooter Plumbing offers Bathroom Makeover Sweepstakes

Winners will receive bathroom fixtures that conserve water

One year after Mr. Rooter voluntees helped purify water for Haitian earthquake victims, the plumbing company is promoting a Bathroom Makeover Sweepstakes worth $5,000. The winner will receive plumbing fixtures that conserve water and save money. The sweepstakes also gives the plumbing company a way to educate consumers on being Water-Wise around the house.

“As we taught Haitian womenhow to test and purify their water, we realized how lucky we are to have clean, fresh water,” said Mary Kennedy Thompson, president of Mr. Rooter Corporation. “We no longer take water for granted.”

To promote its Water-Wise initiative, Mr. Rooter partnered with Gerber Plumbing Fixtures,who donated the products. The fixtures will make the winner’s bathroom more environmentally friendly. The grand prize includes:

* A toilet with the U.S. EPA WaterSense label and uses just 1.28 gallons per flush. An average family of four will save 8,000 gallons per year.

* Up to two bathroom sinks with faucet that also have the WaterSense label and have 1.5-gallons-per-minute aerators.

 * A shower valve with a 2-gallons-per-minute shower head.

“These bathroom fixtures allow us to make a difference every time we flush the toilet, take a shower or turn on a faucet,” said Fawn Barlow, marketing manager at Mr. Rooter. The Bathroom Makeover Sweepstakes ends on June 13.
