It was a record-breaking year at the 36th Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show in Indianapolis last week, and we've got the numbers to prove it.

This year the show moved back to its original schedule of Education Day on Wednesday and the show floor open Thursday through Saturday. The Indiana Convention Center was packed with a record number of 599 exhibitors with 4,375 staff (up from 4,339 in 2015).

“The show has been great this year,” says Matt Sutton, vice president of sales and marketing for RapidView IBAK North America. "In the United States, this is the show to go to for camera technology. There are other wastewater shows, but for our market and our customer, they are at this show."

The event drew 10,031 attendees (up from 9,474 that came in 2015) from 4,336 companies — up from last year’s total of 4,196. It marked the first time since 2008 that attendance has been over 10,000.

"We had another good show from start to finish," says Rich Jordan, product manager at Vivax-Metrotech Corp., another company that specializes in CCTV technology. "We come to the WWETT Show because we know we have a giant audience."

It was also the first year of the WWETT Kickoff Event at Lucas Oil Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday. Over 3,000 attendees checked out the event, which had the COLE Pub truck in the middle of the field, surrounded by exhibitors. Attendees were able to enjoy some cold beverages and explore the field and take photos.
