Relining and Rehabilitation Systems/Tools - Duke’s Root Control Razorooter II

Duke’s Root Control uses Razorooter II, the only diquat-based herbicide registered by the U.S. EPA for controlling nuisance tree roots in sanitary sewer line collections systems. With a classification of “evidence of noncarcinogenicity for humans,” in 2014 the EPA further approved an amendment of diquat dibromide labels to lower the signal word from “warning” to “caution.” Highly trained crews insert a hose from manhole to manhole and fill the affected sewer pipe with Razorooter II. The foam is released, compresses against pipe surfaces, and penetrates cracks, joints and connecting sewers to kill roots on contact, preventing root-related stoppages for two to three years. 800/447-6687; www.dukes.com.
