Envirosight launches VeriSight Pro website

Envirosight launched a dedicated website (www.verisightcamera.com) for its VeriSight Pro digital push camera. The e-commerce site enables 100-, 200- and 300-foot models to be purchased by credit card or PayPal. The site also includes product information and applications.

Peerless Electronics opens e-store

Peerless Electronics opened an OTTO Controls e-store at www.peerlesselectronics.com/store/brands/otto-controls.html. The store offers toggle, Hall Effect and push-button switches, switch guards, grips and accessories.

Sauereisen names research manager, office staff

Sauereisen promoted Greg Maloney to research manager, overseeing the company’s C. Fred Sauereisen Laboratory. It also promoted several members of the office staff. Kim Galley was named finance administrator and Vicki Abell was promoted to billing, credit and collections administrator. Pam Semgo joined the accounting department as financial assistant to the controller and Patti Kenzie joined the company as executive assistant and human resource generalist.

Hannay Reels offers pumper/cleaner catalog

Hannay Reels offers a product catalog for the pumping and cleaning industry. The catalog contains descriptions, drawings and specifications on the company’s heavy-duty hose and cable reels.

ePIPE receives innovation awards

ACE DuraFlo Systems’ ePIPE placed second in the Selected Products category at the Construmat Fair for innovation and sustainability in Barcelona, Spain. ePIPE also was named a winner in the Best Innovation Implemented or Applied by a Contractor category at the UK Energy Innovation Awards in Manchester, UK.

N.Y. mayor cites benefits of plumbing career

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the plumbing industry could offer a more prosperous future for some graduates than a traditional college degree. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, median pay for a plumber in 2010 was approximately $47,000. Bloomberg said prospective students should compare the benefits of becoming a plumber with attending Harvard. “You don’t spend … four years spending $40,000, $50,000 in tuition without earning an income.”

Spartan Tool names territory manager

Spartan Tool LLC named Tony Marini territory manager for Long Island, N.Y. He is a master plumber with extensive Spartan Tool experience.

Mongoose Jetters adds sales representatives

Mongoose Jetters named George Marken and Ryan Peake as sales representatives serving the plumbing and drain-cleaning market. Marken will cover the western region and has 20 years of industry experience. Peake has eight years experience and will be responsible for the southeastern region. They join Ron Slater who has 25 years experience and covers the northeastern region.

LMK names managing director, northeast sales

LMK Technologies named David Archard managing director, northeast sales. He has 30 years experience in the municipal public works sector, assisting municipalities in managing and optimizing assets, with a focus on underground asset management/optimization projects.

Vivax-Metrotech affiliate receives CivEnEx show awards

Vivax-Metrotech’s Australian affiliate, Vivax-MetrotechAUS, received the Best Indoor Stand and Most Innovative New Product award for its vCam-5 inspection camera system at the CivEnEx show in Sydney, Australia.

Wohler USA names technical service manager

Wohler USA named Tom Powers technical service manager. He has 15 years experience as an engineering technician in the semiconductor field.

Fluid Imaging Technologies names vice president 

Fluid Imaging Technologies promoted Harry Nelson to vice president, aquatic markets. He will be responsible for the overall management and continued growth of the aquatics division. Nelson previously served as director of aquatic sales and marketing.
