Aclara acquired the Smart Grid business of Tollgrade Communications. Included in the acquisition were the LightHouse Sensors and Sensor Management System software with Predictive Grid Analytics and other intellectual property.

Continental ContiTech expands partnerships
ContiTech will supply industrial hoses, hydraulics and power transmission belts to Applied Mexico and subsidiary RODENSA Mexico. Applied Mexico is one of the largest industrial distribution networks in Mexico with 22 facilities.

Toro Company names CEO
The Toro Company named Richard M. Olson CEO. He is a 30-year veteran of the company, beginning as manufacturing process engineer in 1986.

TRIC Tools hosts South American engineers
TRIC Tools hosted four engineers from the Sedapal Water & Sewer Authority, the Peruvian state-owned water utility in Lima. TRIC introduced the group in June to its manufacturing process and new municipal pipe bursting developments. Sedapal is executing a $3.25 billion plan to bring 100 percent water and sanitation coverage to Lima and neighboring areas.
