Dwyer Group awards scholarships to U.S. veterans
The Dwyer Group awarded five United States military veterans a $1,000 scholarship for use with franchise training or other franchise opening costs. The scholarships were awarded to veterans who have been chosen and qualified to operate a Dwyer Group franchise. Funding for the scholarships came from the Dwyer Group, Dawson Insurance and PTN Vendor Veteran Scholarships.

Toro Company holds HDD forum
The Toro Company hosted horizontal directional drilling contractors and equipment dealers from the across the United States at its corporate headquarters on May 26. The purpose of the forum was to help identify customer challenges and discuss solutions that could potentially lead to future innovations to the HDD equipment segment. The event also featured hands-on equipment demonstrations and tours of Toro headquarters and product development facilities.

ServiceTitan mobile app wins Stevie Award
ServiceTitan received the Bronze Stevie Award for Best Business App at the 14th Annual American Business Awards. The app, Mobile 2.0, includes new features that improve technician productivity in the field, enhance the customer experience and grow sales.

McLaughlin names regional sales rep
Jake Jeffords was named regional sales representative for McLaughlin. Jeffords will be responsible for meeting the needs of customers in the Southeast, Mid-South and Eastern Canada. He has worked in the construction equipment industry since 2003.

IPEX completes $55 million plant expansion
IPEX unveiled its $55 million Edmonton plant expansion to stakeholders and guests at a reception in June. The 17,245-square-foot expansion brings the production of the world’s largest diameters of PVC pressure and sewer piping to the Canadian market. It also allows IPEX to provide western provinces with North America’s largest diameters of PVCO piping.
