An aircraft-grade aluminum frame highlights the features of the new Aluminum WaterBlaster Series pressure washer from Simpson, an FNA Group brand. Along with the other features that carried over from the standard WaterBlaster Series, it means a more durable machine that can perform in whatever harsh working conditions cleaners might find themselves in, says Kiara Willard, marketing coordinator with FNA Group.

“We continued to use the same quality brands for engines and pumps that we have for other series, for this series as well,” Willard says. “The major difference with this product line is the aluminum frame. It’s more durable for those harsh environments. We’re targeting professionals working in a more heavy-duty type of industry with this aluminum series.”

Three different models make up the Aluminum WaterBlaster Series. The 60828 Model features a Honda engine and CAT triplex plunger pump and can produce 4,200 psi at 4 gpm. The 60827 Model is the same but with an AAA triplex plunger pump. The 60825 Model has a Simpson engine, an AAA triplex plunger pump, and is rated for 4,400 psi at 4 gpm. Available on the AAA pumps is PowerBoost Technology, which delivers full performance to the nozzle by eliminating the typical loss of pressure and flow across the chemical-injection venturi. The series includes limited warranties on all the main components — 10 years for the frame, three years for the engine, two years for the CAT pump option, and five years for the AAA pump option.

All the models also come with 13-inch pneumatic tires, 50 feet of 3/8-inch steel-braided hose and a wand with five quick-connect nozzle tips: 0 degrees, 15 degrees, 25 degrees, 40 degrees, and a soap applicator nozzle.

It is a dual-belt drive system, which prevents overheating and excessive vibration and helps reduce pump fatigue, Willard says.

“A belt drive machine will definitely give you more operating hours,” she says. “That was the idea behind creating this aluminum series — to provide commercial cleaning professionals with a high-quality durable belt drive machine.” 847/348-1500; www.simpsoncleaning.com.
