Electro Scan receives product innovation award

Electro Scan received the Joseph L. Abbott Jr. Award for product innovation from the North American Society of Trenchless Technologies. The company was recognized for its contribution to the sewer rehabilitation industry.

AMP completes Workhorse acquisition

AMP Holding, through a newly formed subsidiary, AMP Trucks, completed acquisition of the Workhorse brand, logo, IP, patents and assembly plant from Workhorse Custom Chassis, a wholly owned affiliate of Navistar International Corp. The Union City, Ind., assembly plant has the capacity to produce up to 30,000 chassis a year. AMP plans to produce step-vans and other vehicles for the North American medium-duty commercial truck market at the facility.

Cable Center launches new website

The Cable Center, distributor of sewer and drain cleaning equipment, launched a new website, www.thecablecenterinc.com. The site includes new and used mainline and sink machines, cameras, locators, sump pumps and generators.

Hino Trucks names president

Hino Trucks named Yoshinori Noguchi president. He replaces Sumio Fukaya who retired in March. Noguchi has been a board member since 2010 and managing officer at Hino Motors Ltd. since April 2012.

Martin offers vibration training for OEM applications

Martin Engineering is offering custom-engineered vibration technology for manufacturers of shakers, separators, wash plants and other process equipment that uses vibration as a working force. The design and engineering will be performed at Martin Engineering’s Center for Innovation, Research and Development in Neponset, Ill.

Pipe Restoration Technologies receives patent

Pipe Restoration Technologies received a U.S. patent for a portable heating device used for in-place restoration of smaller pipes as part of the ePIPE process.

NLB receives project of year award

NLB Corp. received the Remediation Engineering Project of the Year award from the Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania for its surface preparation contribution to the BNY Mellon Center project in downtown Pittsburgh. The building had 30-foot painted steel panels that could not be removed. Waterjetting equipment from NLB was used to remove rust and old paint in preparation for recoating.

VAC2GO moves to new location

VAC2GO vacuum truck rental company relocated its Kentucky office to 2112 Button Lane, LaGrange, Ky. The new location rents air movers, liquid vacuum trucks and combination units. The location will serve Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, West Virginia and Indiana. The company also named JC Spalding business development manager. He will oversee Midwest regional sales as well as day-to-day operations.

RIDGID sponsors science and technology center

RIDGID is a sponsor of Zane State College’s new 46,000-square-foot advanced science and technology center. Located in Cambridge, Ohio, home of RIDGID’s North American Distribution Center, the facility is scheduled to open in 2014.

RapidView introduces Get Fit summer program

RapidView IBAK North America is challenging the industry to become healthier this year by sponsoring a series of fitness events. The Get Fit with RapidView Summer Program includes sprint triathlons, half marathons, half-century cycling rides and 5K running events. Participants can register at www.rapidview/getfit and receive a free pedometer to track their progress.
